HOW IT WORKS
Follow the Official Accounts
Follow The Neon Hunt on Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. Official clues and announcements will only be released through verified Neon Hunt channels.
Watch for Official Clues
Clues will be released through official channels. Each clue will be numbered and dated. Only clues published by The Neon Hunt should be trusted.
Solve the Clues and Search Safely
Use the clues to search publicly accessible locations throughout Southern Nevada. Always follow all laws, property restrictions, park rules, and posted signs.
Find an Official Neon Hunt Coin
Locate one of the 13 official Neon Hunt coins. Coins will never require trespassing, climbing dangerous structures, entering restricted areas, digging, damaging property, moving heavy objects, entering water, searching in roadways, or placing yourself or others in danger.
Follow the Coin-Claim Instructions
Once you have physically found and retrieved a coin, follow the official Claim Your Prize instructions and submit your verification through the Claim Your Prize page at theneonhunt.com/claim. Do not submit prize claims through the general Contact page.
Complete Verification
All claims are subject to authentication and verification. A prize will only be issued after the coin has been confirmed as authentic and all eligibility requirements have been met.
Receive the Prize
Once your claim is verified and all requirements are satisfied, you will receive the prize connected to the coin you found.
Safety First
No prize is worth risking personal safety. Coins will never require hunters to trespass, climb dangerous structures, enter restricted areas, dig, damage property, move heavy objects, enter water, search in roadways, or place themselves or others in danger. Hunt responsibly.
The Treasure
THE OFFICIAL NEON HUNT COIN

Every official coin was created for one purpose: to be found by someone willing to look closer. When the clues begin, the ordinary landscape of Southern Nevada becomes part of the hunt.
Somewhere out there, one has your name on it.
HUNT SAFELY
No Neon Hunt coin will require entering private property, trespassing, crossing a locked gate or barrier, climbing dangerous terrain, digging, damaging property, entering water, or breaking any law.
If a location appears unsafe, restricted, closed, or privately owned, do not enter. No prize is worth risking your safety.
Nevada Folklore
LEGENDS OF THE HUNT
Nevada has always swallowed its secrets whole. These are the ones who found them.
Charles Breyfogle
1860s — Nevada Territory
Breyfogle staggered out of the desert half-dead, clutching ore so rich it barely seemed real. He spent the rest of his life trying to find his way back. He never did. Somewhere east of Death Valley, the vein still waits.
The Peg-Leg Smith Mine
1829 — Southern Nevada
Thomas 'Peg-Leg' Smith claimed he picked up black-coated nuggets from a desert hill on his way to California. He marked the spot in his memory. Hundreds have searched. The hill has never been identified.
The Lost Gunsight Mine
1849 — Death Valley
A party of forty-niners fashioned a gunsight from a chunk of silver ore they found near Death Valley. They noted the location, pushed on to California, and returned to find nothing but desert. The silver was never seen again.
